Artist Statement

   I am a profesional graphic designer with no formal training in fine art. However, I have painted my entire life.

I use few references when painting. I am not attempting to mimic, but rather to create, allowing the images to take shape from my imagination during the meditative act of painting, creating a sort of visual fiction. My imagination is a mess, but it isn't dark and I hope my work reflects that as well.

Artist Bio

   Though much of my childhood was spent in the Deep South (Mississippi), I have lived most of my life in the beautiful state of New Mexico. 
  I have painted for as long as I can remember, but my current style evolved in about 2015. In the collection on this website, "Summer" is the oldest, having been
painted in 2016. 

I have participated in the Albuquerque art scene now for a year and a half. 

   I live with my wife and our two cats, Bella (below) and Oliver.
